BBC producer and filmmaker Adam Curtis (The Century of the Self) interviewed by Loney Abrams for Artspace.com.

For me, one of the most relevant comments Curtis makes in this interview is here, where he describes the impetus for political change to occur:

“I was trying to say in the film that the way to question power is to stand up against it. And to do that, you have to go into the woods at night together. You have to be powerful and confident as a group. And you have to do this thing that I think a lot of modern artists and modern people in general would find very difficult to do: give yourself up to something that is bigger than yourself.”

Often I have felt that this project is so much bigger than myself. It took completing my undergraduate degree, with a new focus on anthropology, and the start of my Master’s program, to finally begin this process of giving myself up to this project.
